In depth look at the world of the Hopewell people
An in depth look at the Hopewellian world and how they went about finding their place in the universe 2,000 years ago. A very thoughtful and thorough perspective of Native American shamanic beliefs and practices. Indigenous North America before European contact, before electricity and light pollution was a beautiful and magical place. People were captivated by the night sky as they studied the celestial patterns and learned to recognize and revere the many repeating cycles of the sun, moon, planets and stars. This is not a nonsensical “new age” perspective, but an excellent ethnographic and archaeological plunge into the thinking of the Hopewell people.
William Romain helps to make sense of this world that modern man has become so disconnected from.
