USB to TTL Serial Cable FTDI (Genuine) chipset +3V Transparent with LEDs
15 May, 2021
A robust 3.3V UART cable with a genuine FTDI chip.
Perfect for interfacing with Raspberry Pi's, Beaglebones, cheap TV boxes (Amlogic, Allwinner, Rockchip, etc) and especially useful for the serial recovery of routers. A handy cable to own. Works perfectly under Linux thanks to the FTDI_SIO driver. Plus it's quite a bit cheaper than buying an FTDI branded cable (i.e: TTL-232R-3V3) from the well known electrical component stores. PLASTIC OVER BATH TUB RACK CADDY TIDY STORAGE WHITE BATHROOM ORGANISER UNIT NEW
29 Jun, 2020
Great design and robust
This is an excellent bath rack made in Britain by PIMS Plastics in Norfolk. Unlike other inferior products this is made from one solid piece of plastic with no bend, flex or weak areas. As it's made from plastic it won't rust, peel or cause splinters. The design is elegantly simple - one large sunken area which can hold several items and two trays on either edge large enough for a bar of soap each. It's fixed length, easy to clean and there's no awkward areas where dirt can accumulate. Inexpensive. Total Length is approximately 685mm. Length of the sunken underside is approximately 500mm so should fit most baths.

Panasonic DMP-BDT180EB 3D Smart 4K Upscaling Blu-Ray Disc Player Region 2 Black
19 Jun, 2019
A minimalist Bluray & DVD player with excellent upscaling
If you're after a basic Bluray & DVD player mainly to play discs and don't require hundreds of smart apps, WiFi or the ability to play the latest UHD/4K discs then this player could be ideal. Since our Samsung K5500 40" 1080p Smart TV already has many of those features this player was perfect. The unit itself is small and lightweight - mostly black plastic but with a nice metal looking finish. The remote sits nicely in the hand and all the buttons are well placed. The player boots up quickly, the menus are clear and responsive. There's ample choices to customize the picture and sound format - this isn't a difficult machine to setup. 4:3 content can either be letterboxed (with black bands) or forced fullscreen. The player upscales DVD & standard definition content to a much higher quality than our 10 year old Sony DVP-NS708H - both the sound and picture are noticeably improved. I've played region-free NTSC discs @ 720x480 and PAL discs @ 720x576 which I've burnt without issue. I've had no issues playing MKV files from the USB port located at the front; my NTFS formatted USB stick played both h264/MPEG4-AVC videos and MPEG2 content i.e. DVD's ripped with MakeMKV. As expected h265/HEVC files won't play properly. I haven't tried obsolete formats like XVID and DIVX. No issues with Bluray playback either; I've tried multiple discs everything from the Godfather to Ghostbusters loads quickly and plays perfectly. For this price with a 12 month warranty it can't really be faulted plus the latest firmware was already applied. The only possible downsides are a lack of audio connections (just 1 HDMI output) and the fact the player is region locked (DVD: Region 2 | Bluray: Region B) Since Bluray discs are inexpensive and often region-free there's no real reason to stick to standard definition if you have the choice.
