Pleasantly suprised
2 of 2 found this helpful The problem with b-side albums is an obvious one, the songs are usually not as good as the regualr songs. However, I think the majority of the songs on this album, spanning various genres (& languages), are just as good as some of the album tracks on "With Love and Squalor". The rareities are all excellent and the "under the sea" versions of Nobody Move, Callbacks, The Great Escape & Textbook are almost better than the originals. The remixes of This Scene & The Great Escape let the album down though, in my opinion.
If you prefer the original material & the idea of the b-sides & alternative versions puts you off, buy it for the dvd, which contains a 62 min live performance of familiar songs & b-sides. It also contains videos for all 12 With Love & Squalor songs.
