Good paint, but could be better
The paint is OK, but the red pigment is not very dense, so it doesn't cover very well: 3 coats are often necessary rather than two. It simply isn't as good as the old hammerite with toluene solvent, because I had the remains of an old can to use up before starting this one. Its drying time is much the same as original hammerite, but it takes much longer to harden. However, it is still a good direct-to-metal paint, and I don't know of a better one.

Good for occasional use
1 of 1 found this helpful A set of these spanners was bought to replace stolen one, and in that respect they are as expected. The older ones had lasted something like 20 years without failure, and the polished finish does keep them fairly clean. The main drawback is that the jaw opening is not especially accurate, making some of the spanners sloppy on their correct nut sizes.
Perfectly OK for occasional use, but something better might be needed for heavy and/or professional use.
