Garret is every womans dream of the perfect man, profoundly loyal.
I wanted to see this movie mainly because of Kevin Costner. I find him to be very convincing in any part he plays, he didn't disappoint me this time. Robin Wright Penn was also superb as was Paul Newman. It's a movie that can be enjoyed and watched over and over again.

'The Upside of Anger' brilliantly acted with a totally unexpected ending!!
It is a marvelous movie, one that can be watched time and time again, as I have done.
Initially it portrays Kevin Costner as a lonely and to some extent, an irresponsible retired baseball star. His neighbour Joan Allen has as it appears been deserted by her husband, leaving her the responsibility of raising four almost defiant daughters.
This does not prove to be easy, and reflects the turmoils one is to expect in the circumstances.
What makes it so intriguing is the tranformation of both Costner and Allen in the parts they play and their reliance upon one another.
A complete shock and totally unexpected ending !!!!!!!
Brilliant acting by all, including the writer MIKE BINDER.
