COMPAQ C-SERIES First Professional HANDHELD PC Model: 2015c w/ Cradle Cable Box

Fun vintage computing.
A hardy little machine despite its age. There are better Windows CE devices out there with higher OS versions as well as much better battery life as well as keyboards. The keyboard on this device is small and not meant to type on at length. The screen is CSTN, which means it suffers from lag. Colors are OK but I've seen better. The WinCE version is 2.0 so will run plenty of WinCE programs. I'd have preferred Windows CE 2.11. Syncing to computer can be an issue, Since it has a PCMCIA card slot, I'd use a CF to PCMCIA adapter and move files that way instead of through the serial cable and Windows unless you have a dedicated vintage Windows machine. The hinges on these devices are prone to break. Especially now twenty years after their release. So that's something to watch out for. Overall though, a fun little machine to play around with. Usually these devices can be had for around $30 USD in pristine condition. Make sure to not overpay. This is an oddity at best, not something most people will (or even can) use in a serious capacity in 2020. If you want something to write with and are looking for a small handheld, an Android phone with a QWERTY keyboard will suit you better. Even if that device is 10 years old.
Timex Men's T2J081 Premium Collection Perpetual Calendar Sport Watch

Can't go wrong with a Timex.
A cheap Timex watch was my first ever "real" watch. Got it at age eight and lasted me until I was fourteen. I put that watch through so much abuse, I'm surprised it lasted that long. I always saw the commercials / advertisements that said, "Takes a licking, keeps on ticking" and just expected that whatever I put my watch through it'd survive. And it did. I've owned so many watches of different brands and price ranges. From fifteen dollar watches to much, much more expensive pieces. But Timex has always had a special place in my heart so this review probably be a little biased. I like expensive watches, but I don't always want to put them in jeopardy when I'm active. That's where less expensive watches come into play like this Timex. For starters, it's a looker. It really is. And from a couple of feet away it looks much more exclusive than it is. I've gotten a few comments about how good it looks. I use this when I go swimming or hit the gym. I've dropped it a few times over the course of a year with very little damage done to it if any. Being submerged in salt water has also not hurt this watch. I see no signs of corrosion or rust anywhere. It's also comfortable, the leather strap is soft and isn't stiff once worn for a couple of days. While lacking numerals, the display is nice and easy to read as is the date. The lume on the watch is also nice and bright and lasts for a few minutes before getting too dim to read. So if you want a nice, all around watch that's great for any occasion I'd definitely pick this up. Especially at this price. (I think I paid 39.99 + tax locally) I really can't say enough positive about this watch and honestly, so far I've not had any issues with it.

Stauer Men’s Metropolis Hybrid Chronograph Watch Model 32262. Digital & Analog
06 Aug, 2022
Looks good, that's it.
First off, let's talk about the brand "Staur". The brand first started appearing in 2002 or so making jewelry and eventually watches amongst other things. Most if not all their automatic watches are Chinese movements and all watches use base metals. They are one of those brands that set high prices and sell low making you think you got a great deal but in reality overpaid for a max 20 dollar watch. (Deceptive marketing.) This is the case with the Metropolis Ana-Digi watch. This exact watch can be bought on Ali-Express for less than ten dollars. All Staur did here was buy a generic Breitling look-alike made in China and added their name to it and ask over a hundred dollars for the watch. The Metropolis watch as a watch is fine as long as you realize you can get the exact same from other Chinese companies (Skmei etc.) for less than twenty dollars. The movement works well enough, has a good backlight and it does keep time. Has a couple of nice features such as timer, alarm, chime and the basic fare for a digital watch. You are unable to change the watch bands without ruining the watch and the metal is of very cheap quality. It's also large (47mm I believe) and the band is not comfortable and you will feel how cheap it is once you put it on. Staur does release some nice looking watches even though their quality control is below par as long as you don't pay their prices and stay far away from their automatic movements.
