Blackberry 8310 unlocked T-mobile
I love this model. It is similar to the 8800, but is slightly smaller and includes GPS and a 3mb camera. This device does everything you could possibly want a phone to do including surf the web, listen to music, and store photographs. I guess there are more modern blackberrys available but I doubt the fundamental functions have changed. As a matter of fact I know they haven't! Touchscreens are OK, but nothing beats tactile buttons for text messaging and this phone has that plus much more covered. battery life is great with about one week between charging, but I do turn my phone off at night. All in all, a good phone with excellent reception at a great price if you search carefully for a gently used one. Of course, it is also worth mentioning the fact that an unlocked phone can be used by more than one provider and can be easily traded up for another phone when the time comes.

RIM BlackBerry Bold 9000 (AT&T)
The Bold is my first smart phone, having used mobile phones for over 10 years. Rather than list what is already in the specs I will share what I like most and use most on this phone. Mobile Internet: This is a great feature on any smart phone. The screen size and brightness and the easy scroll wheel make navigating sites easy. Also the qwerty keyboard makes it possible to actually type into boxes or searches so as to make the internet accessible.

BLACKBERRY BOLD DAKOTA 9900
I was more than excited to pick up a bold 9900 the day it was released. I was one of a dozen or so people in line at my local Verizon store, and was in and out in a few minutes. I rushed home to get up and running on my new device. I fell in love with the higher resoution screen, keyboard and all around design. Thankfully I didn't have the trackball issues like some. I was happy to finally have the latest device on Verizon's network.
