8GB SDHC Camera Memory Card
Ensure you have plenty of space to take hundreds of super high quality images with an 8GB SDHC camera memory card .
Most cameras require a memory card to function. A memory card is usually inserted beside the battery within the camera. It can then usually be fitted directly into your PC or Mac. If your computer is not compatible with your chosen memory card then you can purchase an adapter.
SDHC - or secure digital high capacity - memory cards work in the same way as a standard SD card but they pack a significantly higher capacity. The original SD card had a maximum capacity of 2GB whereas the SDHC has a maximum capacity of 64GB and a 24MBp/s read speed.
SD and SDHC memory cards are identical in size and appearance. Although you are generally recommended to buy SDHC rather than an SD card, be sure to check your camera specifications first. Although all SDHC cards will fit inside a SD card slot, some older cameras will not recognise the modern format storage.
As well as the standard size of SD/SDHC memory card you will also find microSDHCs. Micro memory cards function in the same way as regular sized models, although they are specially designed to fit in smaller devices.
