• Box braid: This three-strand braid method adds maximum thickness to your hair, and usually has precise triangular or square partings.

Kindly note "tighter braiding" doesn’t mean a tight attachment that pulls on the original hair, causing traction alopecia. Tightness, in this context, basically means braiding the extension tightly to the hair without hurting the hair’s roots.

Braid extensions can be done in multiple colours and styles, including jet black, browns, ombres, dip-dyes, auburn, lowlights, pastels, highlights, honey blondes, greens, caramel blondes, blues, platinum blonde, and copper. These colours are not confined to specific skin tones. However, you should consider wearing colours that are right for the occasion. For instance, don’t wear bright blue or green hair extensions to your workplace.

Braid hair extensions are not designed to work with thin, fragile hair. Use these extensions only if you are sure about your hair’s health. To ensure your hair works great with the extension hair, consider doing the following before braiding:

• Wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo to get rid of dirt and any product residue.
• A good hair protein treatment followed by some moisturizing would be ideal as it helps your hair remain hydrated throughout the period that the extension stays in.
• Get rid of hair tangles as you cannot braid hair extensions to tangled hair.
• If you have any scalp problems, such as dryness, itchiness, dandruff, or any fungal infection, address it first before braiding hair.
