The LGA 1155, or Socket H2 can be used in microprocessors, and although this model has been superseded in recent years, for reliability and good performance these motherboards are very effective. You want to ensure that the LGA 1155 motherboard fits inside and that the H2 socket is compatible. Having enough RAM for your use is essential though you should be able to upgrade this at a later point if necessary.

With a land grid array format, the pins are on the socket, not the processor, and supports up to 16 PCIE 3.0 lanes, and 8 PCIe 2.0 lanes. Selecting the CPU to suit your budget and needs is recommended, and the LGA1155 works well with Intel Celeroh, Pentium, ATX and other processors that have up to 4 CPU cores and that operate at frequencies from 1.2 GHz to 3.7GHz.

There are lots of chipsets available that can be fitted with a LGA 155 motherboard enabling various features to work. The Z68 allows for integrated CPU graphics for example, but it depends on your use of the computer as to the best chipset to go for.
