Night Vision Hunting Equipment
Night vision equipment is ideal for those who want to practice the sport of hunting. Each one is designed to give you a slightly different experience with your hunt and is also designed to help you in certain situations. Brands of night vision hunting equipment include Pulsar, Yukon, ATN and Nitesite.
Night Vision Monoculars
Night vision monoculars are single eye units. They don't have any form of magnification and they are very popular with those who want to see in the dark without compromising their own line of sight. This device is lightweight and it is also very compact as well. Some monoculars can be attached to a spotting scope or even a rifle scope. This can then be mounted with a red dot sight if required. Night vision monoculars can take some time to get used to if you are not experienced in using them.
Night Vision Goggles
Night vision goggles are designed to be viewed with both eyes. They don't have any magnification and they can be mounted on the head. One of the benefits of using night vision goggles is that they are very natural and they can also offer you dual image tube viewing. The only downside with goggles is that they offer you a lot less versatility when compared to standard monoculars and it is possible for each eye to see a slightly different image when one eye is closed.
Goggles do not have the option to be used with a rifle or scope, meaning that if you are out hunting then you would need to lift up the goggles if you were using a scope. This is all down to personal preference and there are many professional hunters who choose to use both so that they are always prepared when out in the wild.
