Pentacon Camera Lenses

Pentacon is a german company who have established themselves firmly in the camera lens market. The company name Pentacon was first introduced in 1964 and was a combination of the two words pentaprism and contax.

If you are looking for additional lenses to add to your photographic armoury there are plenty of Pentacon lenses from which to choose. For example, one Pentacon lens is the Prakticar MC 50mm f/1.8 Prime which is great for capturing clear photos even in conditions of low light. The lens will accept 49mm filters to improve saturation, reduce glare, and protect the lens from UV rays. The lens weighs a mere 250g so will not add much to your accessory bag .

Also among the Pentacon camera lenses available is a Pentacon 135mm f2.8 Prime Lens 15 Blade Diaphragm With M42 Mount. It has an M42 screw mount so it would be easy to find adaptors for it to be used on any camera that has an interchangeable lens. Accessories such as front and rear lens caps and a metal lens hood can also be purchased.

Pentacon 300mm f4.0 Telephoto Lens

Another of the Pentacon camera lenses offered is a Pentacon 300mm f4.0 Telephoto Lens that has no fewer than 19 iris blades and also has an M42 screw mount.

Alternative lenses include the Pentacon Electric f/1.8 50mm MC Prime Camera Lens. This is a vintage lens that also has an M42 screw mount. Also offered is a Pentacon (Orestor) 135mm 1:2.8 Portrait lens that has 15 blades. Some of the lenses are coated and have different markings on them such as MC or multi coating, they can also be in different colours. This lens has many positive features such as good bokeh, very good build quality along with a lens hood and compact lens.
