LCD Screens for iPhone 5s

Better viewing with LCD Screens for iPhone 5s

Since their takeover in 2007, almost every TV, phone and device of the like have used LCD screen technology. Due to the light nature of LCD screens, plus being economically friendly, the LCD are used for many phone screens.

Display

With a modern colour gamut average of 75 percent, LCD screens display a wide range of crisp, vivid colour. The typical resolution of LCD screens is 1024x768, allowing you to view these dynamic colours at a high quality. However, colour gamut does vary depending on the backlight used and the technology it is installed to.

As the LCD screen does not produce these images itself and instead relies on the backlight, it does not suffer the same type of burn-ins that plasma screens or many other screens do. Although most LCD screens come in a certain resolution, there is actually no theoretical resolution limit, meaning that a phone with LCD could display up to 1080p HD as opposed to the lower 1024p. LCD screens also promise no bleeding or smearing of the screen or visuals at the native resolution.

Efficiency

There are very little negatives with LCD screens. They are very energy efficient, draining very little battery power and therefore optimal for phones. Safety is assured as they emit almost no electromagnetic radiation at all compared to the older CRT models.

Since LCD screens itself are very minimalistic and need backlights to function, they are very lightweight. This makes them optimal for phone screens, as well as the fact that they have very little power consumption, enabling it to be useful for battery-powered electronic equipment such as mobile phones. LCD TVs usually have a power consumption of 12 V, meaning that the much smaller phone screens consume much, much less, making them the perfect choice for a mobile display.
