Mamiya medium format film cameras

Mamiya is a Japanese company headquartered in Tokyo that produces high-end cameras and other photographic equipment. Well known for quality and stunning photographic results, if you're on the hunt for a particular Mamiya film camera, then look no further than the massive array all under one roof on eBay.

Professional Mamiya medium format film cameras

Later-model 120/220 Mamiyaflexes are ideal for serious shooters thanks to the interchangeable lenses and single-stroke, totally automatic film-wind cranks. The 80mm f/2.8 Mamiya-Sekor standard lens provides phenomenal definition even wide open as well as excellent bokeh. The fantastic Mamiyaflex lens sets include 55mm wide-angle right up to 250mm telephoto and feature viewing and taking lenses on every interchangeable lens board.

Mamiya SLRs

These tough Mamiya SLRs give outstanding 6x7cm images on 120/220 film. They're quite substantial all-mechanical, modular cameras with interchangeable spinning film backs, leaf-shutter lenses, bayonet-mount, breech-lock, and a dual-track, rack-and-pinion focusing system. The later RZ67 is less heavy so easier to handle although, despite the fact they're heavier and bulkier, the RZ and RB models are versatile very high-performance machines. They are equally at home in the confines of a studio or out in the open field.

Bellows system SLRs

The Mamiya RZ67 Pro II uses a bellows set-up for focusing and is much trickier to use than many SLRs. For instance, taking off and attaching the lens means you need to use a ring around it and then line it up with a row of dots. The shutter needs to be cocked and then the connection ring undone. Cocking the shutter itself can also take a little practice due to the fact there's a lever instead of a winding knob typical of other SLRs. With these factors in mind, bellows system SLRs are best suited to professionals and those with more experience, however, they are well worth the perseverance.
