Aster Model Railways and Trains
Founded in 1975, the Aster company develops model railways and trains for all enthusiasts and hobbyists out there. With a wide selection to choose from, there are various types of models like OO Gauge train sets, all from different eras and collections. Youll also find the accessories and railways for those train sets, all developed by Aster.
The choices
Choose from multiple eras for the trainset you want, including the 1920s to 1947 to the British Railways era 1950s to 1960s. As well as these choices, Aster produces trains from multiple countries, such as France, Germany, Great Britain, Japan and American and the history that comes with the developed pieces. This means an enthusiast can endlessly improve and add to their collection and tailor it exactly whatever way they want, whether it be solely the 1920s trainsets or trains only from Japan.
Each train purchased actually works, whether it be powered by steam or electric. Steam locomotives can be run via fuel or water, each coming with a different capacity. Fuel tank capacities generally range up to 300cc and water tanks range up to 500cc. This can give each train a fair amount of life, with some tank capacities even going higher, allowing you time to enjoy your collection.
Whats available
If you have your eye on a piece, be quick to purchase, as some trainsets have only 200 to 400 pieces and can be fairly limited. Some sets are even more limited at just 70 pieces produced for a single type. These pieces would add higher value to each collection and make it much more impressive.
Some trainsets developed are made with water and chemical resistance, making it hazard-free and making caring for the pieces much easier. Accessories are sold for these pieces, including detail sets, cooling and intake fans, test rollers for the bottom of the train, valves for display and railway pieces such as straight and turnouts.
