Typically, these collectable barometers record changes in atmospheric pressure on a paper chart thats mounted onto a drum. The drum is turned by a clock whilst the measuring element gauges changes in the pressure, noting it down on the rotating chart paper.

A Russian barograph is a Bakelite case offers real retro charm thanks to the plastic case. Bakelite was the first synthetic plastic to be produced and was used for a range of applications. This barograph is fully encased with a hinge-opening top for access to the charts. A handle at the top makes this model perfect for transporting.
