Britain’s eminently recognisable icon, the Routemaster bus, can be purchased on eBay. These vintage vehicles have been fondly collected since being taken out of public service, and have found new life being chartered for special tours or outings. The first prototype Routemaster bus was brought into service in 1954, with the last made in 1968. Each bus has its own number prefixed with ‘RM’. There are RML, referring to the Leyland engine, and RMC, which indicates it is a coach.
