The Jordan Big Fund Black University Gold is made of full-grain leather, a solid rubber outsole, and hidden eyestay webbing. Its traction pattern is a combination of ovals and zigzags. Nike Air units are in the heel to assist in absorbing impact, and the cushioning system also includes Phylon midsoles. A lace guard is situated in the middle of the tongue to improve stability. The colourway consists of black, white, and gold with the upper predominantly black. A white Jumpman logo stands out on the side of the ankle. Gold appears at the outsole, branding on the tongue, and the back of the midsole. Black was also used for the outsole and a portion of the midsole with the rest of the midsole white.
