DW Drum Kits

Drum Workshop, otherwise known as DW Drums, was founded in America in 1972. The company has gone on to produce some of the most sought after drum kits in the world, favoured by rock and metal drummers from across the globe.

DW drum kits are at the higher end of the price spectrum and are aimed at professional drummers rather than beginners.

The kits can be custom ordered, and designed with the drummer’s specific needs in mind. Some of their most popular kits include Collector’s Series, Performance Series, and Jazz Series.

Whilst the majority of DW drum kits are aimed at professionals, they also make a junior kit and speciality drums.

Many world renowned drummers are endorsed by or play DW drums with Roger Taylor, Dave Grohl and Toco Torres just a few of the musicians who use DW hardware and kits.

How to care for your DW Drum Kit

Due to the expensive nature of DW drum kits, hard cases are advisable when transporting the kit, as travelling can cause wear and tear and may damage your kit if it’s not properly protected. DW drums have a range of hard cases available, but these may prove more expensive than an unbranded version.

Regular cleaning of your DW drum kit will help to keep the shells and skins grime free, but care should be taken not to use any kind of abrasive cloth or product. Dry cloths and specialised wax will help to protect your DW drums and keep the shells in glossy, streak free condition.
