A Japanese firm with worldwide distribution, Korg is a well-established name in the music industry. Their range of synthesisers - also known as synths - and sound modules has been used for many years by professional musicians. The firm was founded in 1963 and has been at the forefront of electrically made and digital music creation ever since.

Korg instruments featured prominently in the 1970s and 1980s electronic music boom - such as was created by bands in the new Romantic movement, including Duran Duran and Depeche Mode.
