About Convex Safety Mirrors
A Convex Safety Mirror provides a wider field of view, making it easier to see things you would otherwise be unable to see. This makes it a cost effective and successful tool in the prevention of accidents and theft.
Within a store setting, the Convex Safety Mirror is a proven way to deter shoplifters by making even the most hidden corners visible. An affordable alternative to expensive security systems.
In warehouses and factories, the extra field of vision created by the safety mirror helps prevent collisions with pedestrians and stock, particularly where forklift trucks are in use.
One of the most common, non-commercial uses for the Convex Safety Mirror is on hidden driveways and blind bends where visibility is limited. The extra field of vision allows motorists to see round corners helping prevent accidents. Similarly, a Convex Safety Mirror offers peace of mind to people when positioned near entrances, alleyways and car parks by alerting them to any potential threats that may be lurking round the corner.
Convex Safety Mirrors can also be used to assist parking in restricted areas. No more bumps or scratches when reversing into the garage.
Convex Safety Mirrors are made from one of two materials: Polycarbonate or Acrylic. Polycarbonate mirrors are lightweight and virtually indestructible making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Polycarbonate mirrors also have a better optical quality. Acrylic mirrors, on the other hand, are not quite as robust and are therefore more suited to indoor applications. However, they are still around 100 times stronger than glass and cost less than polycarbonate.
Easy to install, convex safety mirrors come in a variety of sizes (the larger ones giving longer viewing distances) and can be either wall, or pole-mounted.
