About G Plan Dining Table
Since 1953 the G Plan brand has been synonymous with comfort, style and quality although the initial concept of the furniture came from Ebenezer Gomme who in 1989 began making chairs by hand from a workshop in High Wycombe. The company was called E. Gomme Limited and was so successful that in 1903 it was able to afford machine tools to produce a diverse range of furniture, including the first dining room suites.
Up until 1953 furniture manufacturers mainly produced styles dictated by retailers but G Plan, in a revolutionary move away from tradition, launched a national advertising campaign designed to appeal directly to consumers, opening showrooms where potential customers could see the furniture in rooms complete with accessories.
Today the G Plan dining table range is manufactured in many shapes, sizes and styles to match any size of room and any décor including modern, contemporary and vintage.
Few furniture manufactures offer such choice of wood in dining tables. The G Plan dining table can be made from light or dark oak, teak, mahogany, solid pine and white ash among other strong, high quality wood. From oval and round to rectangular and square the G Plan dining table can grace the largest dining room to the smallest dining niche and because of the quality of materials used, its durability with simple maintenance can last a lifetime.
Whether new or used, the G Plan dining table range is affordable to most people, built to last and represents excellent value for money.
