About InSinkErator Filter
The InSinkErator company are a well known and reliable brand name in the field of waste disposal systems and hot water dispensers. Beyond these, however, they offer a wide range of other items and solutions for the modern kitchen, including water filtration systems. The Racine, Wisconsin based company were founded by John W. Hammes, an architect who, in 1927, invented the sink food waste disposal unit. After ten years of improving the design he founded InSinkErator to produce and market his design.
The InSinkErator water filtration systems are designed for use with the company?s Steaming Hot Water Tap systems. They either completely remove or reduce significantly the levels of soluble impurities such as chlorine which are routinely found in tap water. Water supply companies often introduce chlorine into mains water as a means of inhibiting bacterial growth. However, chlorine can have a significant impact on the odour and taste of tap water, especially when it is used for hot beverages.
Public water utilities are required by law to provide water that does not contain contaminants or pollutants. However, some pollutants such as lead or rust can enter the water system after it has left the purification facility, so the quality of all water depends on the journey it has taken. There are over 2000 known contaminants that may be present in tap water. Filters are a sound and economical means of ensuring clean water, as they also remove scale and solid particles and sediment.
Available are various water filter cartridges which are compatible with InSinkErator units and which are quick change with a shut off facility. They are offered in singles, pairs and threes.
