About NFC Tags
Imagine being able to walk through a shop and purchase items simply by tapping your smartphone onto various NFC tags. Believe it or not, this is possible and there are a multitude of other things you can do with the tags. NFC, or Near Field Communication, chips contain small amounts of data and only have a frequency range of a few centimetres. With a device capable of reading those transitions, you get access to whatever data is stored on the chip. For example, if you see a real estate flier with a chip on it, that chip contains additional information about the house for sale. You can buy NFC tags and write your own data to them if you have the equipment to do so. Keep track of the contents in a packed box or keep your personal information stored on a dog collar. Blank tags are available individually or in sets on eBay. The possibilities are endless when you hold the key to invention.
