About Rope Barriers

A rope barrier can simplify the management of even a relatively large crowd or gathering. Multiple rope barriers can also be employed to route the crowd so as to actually limit the floor space utilised while queuing. Usually made from twisted nylon or other weather resistant material, rope barriers are available in various colours, typically red, blue or black. Rope can be purchased in various lengths but if a long rope barrier is required, it is better to use a series of shorter ropes instead. With a sturdy hook at each end, usually of brass or stainless steel, the rope is designed to be used with two or more stands. The stands should be made from stainless steel in order to avoid corrosion and should be heavy enough to withstand the normal activity of queuing persons. Barrier stands are available in various designs and many have a capped top surface. With a little care, a correctly chosen rope barrier set can enhance the experience of visitors or customers, often adding a discreet degree of exclusivity to the venue or function. Rope barriers can be found at the world?s most exclusive nightclubs, restaurants and social events and represent a cost effective means of controlling the access of visitors without the need for permanent fixtures. A rope barrier can be use by pavement restaurants and outside bars to provide a degree of separation for those enjoying a meal outside from those passing by. The rope itself can also be purchased on a roll. Care should be taken however to ensure that the width of the rope matches the requirements of the support hooks to be used with the stands.
