Ensuring buyers receive great service from all of our sellers is one of eBay's top priorities, and we encourage the proper use of seller status.
What is the policy?
- Sellers are not allowed to use the eBay Top-Rated Seller (eTRS) logos, icons, or similar artwork on eBay, other websites, or offline materials
- Sellers may not make any claims about being a Top-Rated Seller in their item description, even if they hold that status
- eBay's name and logos are registered trademarks protected by Intellectual property law, and sellers need permission - opens in new window or tab to use them
Activity that doesn't follow eBay policy could result in a range of actions including for example: administratively ending or cancelling listings, hiding or demoting all listings from search results, lowering seller rating, buying or selling restrictions, and account suspension. All fees paid or payable in relation to listings or accounts on which we take any action will not be refunded or otherwise credited to your account.
Why does eBay have this policy?
This policy protects the eBay Top-Rated Seller status, and prevents abuse by users who may not actually have this status.
