Most plants and seeds can be listed as long as they're located in the UK, but there are exceptions, including some seeds and noxious weeds.
What is the policy?
Plants can only be shipped within the UK. You can't import or export plants to or from the UK.
If you sell live plants within the UK, you need a UK Plant Passport. To learn more about Plant Passports, visit the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs - opens in new window or tab. We may ask any seller to provide their Plant Passport.
- The following are not allowed:
- Endangered plants
- Plants and seeds located outside the UK (due to UK import restrictions)
- Plants, flowers, seeds, trees, fruits or vegetables prohibited by government or by postage regulations

Why does eBay have this policy?
To reduce the risk of introducing or spreading pests and diseases, the sale and import of plants and seeds is highly regulated.
