Virtual currency, such as Bitcoins, Litecoins, and other similar cryptocurrencies, can be sold on eBay as long as the listings follow our policy.
What is the policy?
- Listings for virtual currency that include unsafe delivery methods, such as paper wallets or other similar formats that require private or public keys to access the virtual currency, are not allowed. Examples of virtual currency are Bitcoins, Litecoins, and other similar cryptocurrencies
- Virtual currency must be listed in the Classified Ad format in the Coins & Paper Money > Virtual Currency category. This requirement applies whether the virtual currency is digitally or physically delivered
Activity that doesn't follow eBay policy could result in a range of actions including for example: administratively ending or cancelling listings, hiding or demoting all listings from search results, lowering seller rating, buying or selling restrictions, and account suspension. All fees paid or payable in relation to listings or accounts on which we take any action will not be refunded or otherwise credited to your account.
