Description is misleading. This is a dry powder in a tub. You have to add water. I expected, for the money, a liquid solution.

not totally inop but not really good

it does remove the antifoul however I put two coats of antifoul on 2.5yrs ago three 5lt. lots and some has been removed but some no. the substance went to a thick jelly type substance and would not spread. have used this before ie before the coats detailed, it seemed to be better then than this time. that is why I reordered on this occasion. will not order again sam

  • Clearly does not work as advertised

Followed the instructions to the letter following mixed chatter about this product. Unfortunately it does not really work If your boat had simply 1 seasons light antifouling it may be of benefit unfortunately after 2 applications I had to return to a scraper and Elbow grease. Easy to mix and easy to apply in a consistency like wallpaper paste.

  • Good stuff.

Protect skin and eyes ——- Very caustic. Applied to old and very thick (3-4 mm in places) antifouling. Covered in clingfilm and left for 24hrs. Vigorous scraping removed a fair bit of softened paint. 3 treatments removed all. I was doing a 6” strip around boot line, having dry scraped the bottom. Dry scrape preferable if it comes off reasonably easily, but didn’t want to chance gouging topsides. Could certainly be used for all, but it is very messy stuff. Longer left the better and plastic film stops it drying out.

  • It works, but you’ll need the time & effort to complete

It works, does the job, but it’s no miracle solution. Dont’t expect to simply brush on, wait, then jet wash your Antifouling away...You’ll need to put more effort in than that. I had a couple of coats of thin AF to remove from the hull of my RIB. Factoring in the wait time for the product to work, It took several days & 4 separate coats to successfully do the job. For removal I used rub down with fine steel wool (PPE / Gloves / Visor or it’s gonna burn) and pressure wash connected to hot water. Job done, I’m back to the Gel coat, so I’m happy.

  • Paint remover

I have removed four coats of paint off my yacht back to the gel coat excellent product. Have tried much more expensive products with little success.
