    Very good essential phone, quiet nostalgic.

    I always liked the brand, because no matter what nokia I used, all of them very affordable and very very reliable. Its a shame MS killed off symbian to replace it with windows, because it is a very competitive os, or was... Since its not getting updated anymore, support is slowly becoming an issue, and updating to the last version is not possible from the phone itself as the servers are shut down. Anyway, the camera is still very competitive with todays budget phones which is great. This phone is a great backup or daily for someone who likes unique devices.

    Nokia n8

    I own several Nokia n8 phones and this one has the latest firmware on it. It runs on the outdated Symbian software. Some people moan that Symbian is slow and outdated but i like it a lot. You do not get viruses, useless apps or bloatware on your phone. The phone is very compact with a 3.5 inch screen and fits in your hand nicely. Its very well made and good quality. I like the fact that although the battery is classed as non removable, it is in fact very easy to remove with screwdriver. The phone has a micro sd card slot which is nice. It has a nice amoled screen, gps, hdmi socket and a whole host of features. Its standalone feature is its superb Carl Zeiss 12mp camera with a large sensor.     MY FAVE...my VERY favourite

    I know the Nokia N8 is a dinosaur...and yes,I know Nokia no longer make them,oh [yawn] and yes,I'm aware Symbian has been superceded by that manky MS crew. BUT....just TRY one. Jusdt...for the Hell of it,TRY using one for ONE week. Nokia knew how to,what to,and why to-and applied it to the N8 and the various versions of Symbian...which,btw,needs no antiviruses...PLUS,now,you can get an N8 for a pittance,that has Belle software installed. TRY one,you'll find the Nokia N8 really does grow on you...and doesn't need replacing annually.
