    Perfect for busy home and business networks

    This item solves the problem of not having enough ethernet ports on a Router. As with a lot of families, my 3 children love playing "Fortnite" on their consoles along with watching streaming TV and coupled with living in a large detached house the Wifi just doesn't do the job so running ethernet cables (discreetly) around the house was a perfect solution. The only thing was our Router only had 4 ports which were already taken up with various other devices; I was already using an 8 slot Switch but that had been filled easily so I decided to purchase this 16 port switch to give me room to extend what is becoming a busy home network. The device is simply "plug and play" once everything is connected up and there is no apparant lag in the internet service despite numerous devices being used at ...

    Netgear reliability at fantastic value

    I have been a network engineer since the early 80s and I have seen all sorts of protocols come and go (back as far as token ring). I have also used a lot of alternative brands from high end cisco down to names I have never heard of. Netgear, equipment has always been reliable in operation and has always worked for many years after the guarantee has run out. It is first rate good value gear.

    Excellent Switch

    All Netgear equipment is pretty good, works well for my applications which are in the home / office environment. Can be expensive brand new but there is a great second hand market where values are very reasonable.
