    Used item sold as new. I unpackaged it and see staining on the case. It’s not ok to list used items as new. Now I have no idea how old it really is.

    Apologies you have found a mark on the case, the item was taken out of the box to photograph the case can be seen in the photos and I can't see any marks. The item has been in my home office for a while now not being used which is why I have listed it on here for sale. These retail new for over £200, second hand are going for £150, you paid £110 which I was happy to accept. If you wanted to know how old the item was then you could have asked before sending your offer to me. thank you

    Batteries

    Often these UPS are advertised as "Not Working" but are in very good order apart from poorly batteries. Some batteries show the full voltage under no load conditions (after charging for a long time) but the voltage collapses when a small load is applied. I use a 12V bulb (a car bulb) to load the battery and then measure the voltage. This APS unit was a bargain because all I had to do was to replace one of the two 12V batteries and it worked perfectly. The electronics of the unit are first class so they seldom go wrong. Some units are dispatched without batteries. If you buy one of these then make sure that the battery cables are included with the unit even if the batteries are not.
