Communicated with seller and after some negotiating they offered 80% of costs returned. Which i accepted because it was not their fault that the item was broken. In the end all sorted. Many thanks. I said I was not prepared to pay anything for something that was totally unusable and I wanted a replacement or full refund. I was then offered a 40% reduction and then a 70% reduction before the seller eventually got the message and sent a replacement which arrived quickly and undamaged. So satisfactory outcome in the end just a shame it took a week of messages to get to that point.
