I cut off several metres of hose, and used the fittings provided to create a link between my outside tap and the unit. This took 5 minutes. I turned the tap on and I had a perfect hose system. My one criticism was that I discovered that the hose had 4 major kinks, tight twists really, that had apparently occurred when it was wound on the reel. Having used the hose since delivery, 3 of the kinks seem to have disappeared but 1 section still has a tendency to twist unless I am observant. I am hoping that this will resolve itself with use.

(Make sure to pull the hose out as some fittings are inside under the hose!) PS '. I normally leave a metre of hose on the real and mark it with permanent marke pen to save putting a strain on the fittings.
