    Brilliant 'outdoor' phone

    Needed a new phone and a new GPS mapping system for walking/sailing. Did some extensive research and eventually came down to this phone. I have not been disappointed. The phone is chunky and feels well made and strong. It has 'grippable' edges so is unlikely to slide out of your hand. It's waterproof. The battery life is brilliant, especially if you make a few adjustments to the basic setup, it easily lasts running the GPS and mapping app for a full day on the hill or the water. The screen is easily daylight viewable. I don't play games but everything else I've used the phone for runs as fast as anyone could wish for. The android is relatively 'clean' with very little 'bloatware' and the included apps are pretty much all useful and relevant. The only thing I miss on this phone is a ...

    Student proof phone for gap year

    Got my lad a corporate quality Samsung Galaxy XCover 4 to take on his travels. Water and dust proof with a dropable hard shell and it's a Samsung, good apps, Android under the hood. Hard shell has nice grippiness.
