The clamps solid at clamping and no sharp finish or threads unlike some other ones that are finger cutters. The actual ring nut on these is solid, cant see it splitting unlike some I've had. I mod the clamps by fitting a suitable nut to the thread so it fits snug into the center of table slots and a bit of wax on the threads helps.
