      Not as good as Haynes used to be but OK.

      Now soft backed which isn't as robust as the older hard backed ones as you have to bend it to get the pages to stay open and lie flat which breaks the spine glued binding. Detail isn't as concise either but newer cars aren't as DIY as old models but it would still be nice if the detail specs were given and there is too much referring to other chapters when describing how to dismantle things so you have to switch back and forth a lot. Again this is because taking anything to pieces on newer cars is more complicated but would be nice if you didn't have to do it as much. Even so it's much better than not having anything at all or having to pay huge dealer prices for a CD based manual or on-line version.

      Disappointing lack of specific content.

      I was disappointed not to find info about cruise control and other Titanium features. This was the main reason I bought this manual as I have recently experienced problems in this area. If I was wanting to work on engine gearbox etc then it would be ok, so for people wanting to do those types of jobs then it's good. If you are wanting this book then I'd advise shopping around as prices vary considerably, and a hardback version would be better as the soft cover makes it hard to handle. In the past I have enthused about Haynes manuals, but this one does not provide enough info about my own car.

      Low quality grey images not good for clarity

      Sadly, Haynes no longer use white paper. The older publications used white paper, which really helped with clarity and definition. But these new ones use a paper with a grey finish, which when combined with photos of poor lighting results in many low quality images full of shadows and flash glare. So hard to distinguish between screwdriver, spring clip and caliper when they're all the same shade of grey. It would be really nice if Haynes reviewed the low quality images that they're knocking out these days.

      Helpful and useful car manuals.

      Haynes manuals are usually very helpful if you have reasonable experience of car repairs. There are often further items which could be added or have not been included, but they certainly give you more confidence when tackling car repairs, and do sometimes contain tips to using alternative tools than the specialized manufacturer tools.

      Invaluable in a crisis!

      Taken a while to write this, as I believe you need to use it a few times to really get a balanced judgement. I always send for a Haynes on buying a new car, hopefully don't use it too quickly! But the day you want to check something out, fit a replacement or want a better view, where it is difficult to see, this book becomes invaluable. The handbooks that come with cars are usually lacking and Haynes fills the gap. Only disappointment was on finding it now has a "soft" cover! Preferred the rigid cover.
