      The answer to Volvo’s Missing Auxiliary Input!

      Really easy to fit and comes with everything you need. I was having some real troubles with the sound system in my V50 and foolishly bought more than one FM transmitting device in a vein attempt to broadcast music from my phone, then later from a DAB radio add on. None of which were any good. Trust me, unless you like filling your ears with custard before you listen to your favourite tracks... this will be the equivalent sound quality if you use an FM transmitting plug in device. None of them are any good! After many searches for a solution, the Veba FM modulator seemed the best. It took around 40 minutes to fit and it was by no means a rushed install. I used the line output from a Pure Highway 600 DAB device, tuned the car radio to the required frequency and there it was! Undistorted, ...

      Works But has a high pitched whine on quieter songs

      Overall the product works well and is very easy to fit. However there is a high pitches whine which is constantly playing. This is masked by louder songs, but on quieter softer tracks it becomes apparent.

      Great way to add more inputs to factory fit stereo.

      Fitted this in my Jaguar X-type to use the original fit stereo after taking out my DIN fit radio/CD/mp3/USB unit. It works miles better than expected and at a fraction of the cost of a genuine Jaguar fit part. Use both an MP3 player with USB and MicroSD compatibilty and an iPod shuffle. Could also use mobile phones with it if needed. Hard wired the switch into the centre console with a flush fit 3.5mm stereo jack socket. Can not fault it apart from maybe having a USB power out line for charging..

      Needs improvement

      So this works pretty well with the issues: If charging your phone you get a slight buz over the speakers I assume the jack to rca cable is cheap and this makes the quality of the sound intermittent and can get pretty irritating I assume that if you purchased a higher quality jack to rca the sound would be near perfect but I havent tried this

      A good sounding modulator

      Being a cabled design, it provides a good, solid and high quality audio link to the van audio system. The FAKRA aerial adapters help the installation, though some modification to them was necessary to allow connection to the double connector on the rear of the Mercedes Audio 20 radio unit.
