    Renogy inverter

    The inverter has great features such as the ups function which prioritises shore power when connected to a power source cutting out the need for complicated switch gear. The only difficulty I had was registering the warrantie I found the web site difficult and confusing I am not a computer expert but neither am I illiterate, it seems ok if you want to buy from it anything else needs a computer science degree

    Good but Cables

    The unit seems good and well made . I was suspicious of the cable size supplied so did a controlled test to boil a kettle. The cables got warm to hot. I contacted the help line via email and to be fair they replied on a weekend. They advised thicker cables 1AWG American sizing. I’ve actually gone OAWG around 40mm so I’m safe. So why would they even supply these cables that I think are only 100amp capacity on a 2000w machine. Oh and I asked re a fuse they advised 300amp which I’ve also added, there’s nothing about this in the instructions. Very odd I’m still happy with the actual inverter though.

    Upgrade

    I wanted to upgrade my 1000w inverter and found this to be a great improvement a little larger than my old inverter so had to re organise me electrical box but managed to fit it in with the recommended space for cooling. And so far seems to be doing a great job powering my appliances.
