A real good and interesting read from the Who vocalist who tells his story with no BS . It makes a change from Pete's version of events , were he tends to try to intellectualise everything , as if it was some sort of master plan , with himself as the genius behind it all . ( Which he was in many ways i guess , but he never seems to give enough credit to the others , especially Roger ) . Without any one of the Who , Keith's magnificent manic drumming, John's brilliant innovative bass , Roger's seering vocals and Pete's brilliant songwriting and guitar playing , as well as the whole visual package , it would never have been the wonderful success that it turned out to be . This book is a good read and any fan of the group would enjoy it ( especially at the price it's now selling at ) .

If you are of an age to have followed the Who fortunes you will enjoy this book. Fills in the gaps answers many questions for me......why didnt Roger buy the Kicking Donkey and keep it open? Questionably the best Rock singer ever.....definately the finest from Bur'ush.

A wonderful account of what life was really like for a member one of the great bands. And for me a trip down memory lane to the culture of London in the 1960s and 70s - so many things rang true. Read this as a library book and had to have a copy on my bookshelf.
