I have fallen for James (cooking, passion for cars and something VERY lush bout his whole persona) through Saturday kitchen and wanted to learn more about the Real James. Book is brilliant - loved his memory stories (especially about his Nan-being very close to my Nan too) and couldnt put it down! Love his passion for nice cars and admire his honesty and integrity(or thats how he came across to me-biased i know!)in all to do with his girlfriends. I am especially going to the Nantwich show in July just for a glimpse-hopefully photo with him. The only criticism is the book didnt have even photos and wasn't long enough (or am I just nosey ) Whens the next one out James ?? thats all i want to know! was great to see another side to him and learn how hard hes worked to actually make it to this point. Admire him even more than ever now. Loved the personal touches in his book and I find myself wondering what cars hes brought since and hows his love life now (hope hes happy and being kept warm )...hope he never retires from my lazy saturday morning lay ins ! xRead full review
I bought this book as I like his cooking and I am training to be a chef and wondered how he got his start. Its a great read and would recommend it to anyone.
