Great tale of a legendary era! thoroughly enjoyable read.. have bought it twice now but keep giving it away !!
This book written by one of the most underrated singer song writer's gives a fantastic insight to life on the road and the trials within a band. Ian Hunter not only has a gift for writing great lyrics he is also an awesome author able to grab the readers attention from the opening chapter, probably one of the best books I have read by an awesome front man in what I feel was one of the most exciting bands to come out of England in the early 70's. If your a Mott the Hoople, Ian Hunter fan you'll love it and if not it is still well worth checking it out it speaks volume's for all the bands struggling to make it in any era. I can only hope that some day Ian will put pen to paper and write another book as I would be the first in line to purchase it. A+A+A+A+
