Fully polished and nickel chrome-plated for durable corrosion resistance. Chamfered ends and thin walls for positive location on fastener. Knurled ring provides grip and control in the hand, and bearing hole provides solid connection to the tool.

Silverline 24mm A/F socket.
I wanted a cheap unhardened 24mm socket for my mountain bike fork service. I knew a cheap socket was not likely to be hardened. This allowed me face the end of square to fit my forks using a lathe. The material is tough but machineable. In general this is a good inexpensive product but not really made for regular continuous rough use. Note it is 1/2" drive.
