    Good device

This is a good device, easy to use, easy to install, in particular because power can be AC or DC and wide range, and outputs for the traffic lights don't need resistors. It can use continental or UK sequences. However, please be aware of the following: 1) one output is for common cathode diodes, and the other for common anode, and work synchronously. This means that with this controller I can not find a suitable mounting for controlling lights in road crosses 2) It is better to use (small) resistors for each light if you control several with the same output, as LEDs are very sensitive to current and so, without resistors, is one as a conducting voltage a little bit different from the other, it will not light up...because the other one will get all the current 3) To start operation it is needed to press a pushbutton, i.e. to provide a up/down transition after applied power. It would be better if we could do this automatically (when needed) by a low to high transition with resistir + capacitor like a power-on reset. Anyway it is a good device, no doubt, and I would recommend it.

Yellow signal problem in US 4 way signal mode

While the board works for 4 way operation in the UK mode it does not work properly in the US mode via switch K1. When wired following the directions for 4 way operation in the US mode, the red and green signals work fine but the yellow signal does not. For the added 4 way signal the yellow signal comes on after the red one, not the green one. I experimented trying to find an alternate wiring to correct the problem but could not find one. I ended up using an Arduino controller for the signals. Since the signals are wired with the common lead positive, I use a hex voltage chip (74LS04) to make them compatible with the Arduino controller.

  • stop light controller???????

Purchased the RR crossing controller and the stop light controller, neither one has worked so far. the RR crossing controller I trashed. The jury is still out on the Traffic Light Controller. Some of things to look out for: 1. you can't twist the wires together 2. you have to connect colored wire to its corresponding main loop. 3. you plug in the power supply and it should work????? No SW1 switch

  • Very good for a single direction.

The controller works as advertised and allows for either common cathode or common anode lights. The controller is for one direction, only. If you have a two headed light you will need a different controller so that each direction in the intersection is controlled.

  • Almost works

Bought this a couple of months ago and finally got to the point of install. Like a review added after I bought mine all the signals attached are on the same sequence. So if you two on a corner it will not left you have red on one and green on the other. Other issue I have is that only 1 of the 2 connections work.

Very happy with product only problem is I never sent directions of how to hook it up

  • wiring option

This is best used for a sequential run of stop lights. For example, looking down the road having all of the lights turn red at each intersection. However, if you want to use this at a corner the only way I could figure it out was to connect a red light to the green light connection on one side of the board and the green light to the red light connection on the other side of the board. It this manner the light would be red on one side and green on the other side. I couldn't get the yellow / orange light to work in sequence, its either on with the green or the red, never on alone.
