Nice little machine, however the thread on the disc fixing nut hasn't been cut straight so it holds the disc slightly out of true. Had to machine the back of the face to keep it flat. Otherwise a good tool.

First one had an badly machined locking nut, meaning the disc ran out of concentricity, supplier replaced quickly, not built with the same quality of the mainstream grinders, but limited choice in the market for small models.

What an excellent little angle grinder. Used it yesterday for cutting fibreglass & marine plywood bulkhead on a boat, and it's size is just so convenient ..and less intimidating than larger more powerful machines. It's great for close-up work and therefore accuracy. The gearbox end does get warm with use, but I'm happy to stop & let it cool before it gets too hot. Better to use as intended than to abuse it. It's so handy - that I'm just about to buy a 2nd one ..to keep for the garage at home.

    Good mini grinder

Unboxing it looks great, so tiny! This is an inexpensive item, so don't expect professional build quality. That said, taking a closer look showed up some minor issues- the threads on the locking collars have been cut slightly off square and this causes a slight wobble of the cutting blade (2mm) in operation; not too much of an issue. Running the grinder at no load for 2 mins caused the gearbox area to become quite warm. Under load this would get very hot rather quickly, so this is a grinder for quick cutting jobs! I took the cover off the gear assembly to check for grease & found that 99% of it had spun off the helical gears and was sat doing very little good inside the casing. Cleaning this grease out and applying some dry film lube to the gears and some fresh moly grease on top of this, ...

    Little Fast One

The little grinder is "partly" ok,however I found that it runs very, very fast but has very little "staying" power. As soon as you apply the tool to the material it slows down rapidly.THis means one cannot apply hardly any pressure in order to advance the tool forward into the material. It soon builds up heat (a worry re burn-out) However I like the idea of using the tool,it just needs to runs slower and have more "staying"power

  • Great tool to have

This has to be the best and handiest grinder ever. Don't know how I lived without it. Ok it's nowhere near as powerful as a 4 1/2" one but it gets into places where no other grinder goes. Ideal for one handed use for deburring for cleaning edges before welding or dressing up welds in tight spots. I'd nearly buy another to have it's so good!

  • Hobby Art 100014 Mini Grinder.

A 1st class little tool for small jobs.Very light weight to work with and easy to use. Ive been using this tool every day for the last week and found no problems so far. Yes I would recommend. UPDATE .It is now October 2019 and this little angle grinder is still working ok. I have re-packed the gearbox with mixture of grease and oil some weeks ago and given a good blow out with a compressor and it is running like a dream. A very useful, easy to use tool. It is well over a year old now and done plenty of work and projects in mild and stainless steel including cleaning up my rotten welding.

  • versatile

as a hobbyist i tend to work on small stuff i have a dremmel but for heavier work i used my 4 1/2" grinder which tends to be too cumbersome for my needs. this little grinder is a gem ,with its 3" disks it is ideal for fine work and it also has a 3mm collet attachment which takes dremmel tools. it takes the 3" air tool cut off disks , i have also used a 8mm bore slotting blade with the centre drilled to 10mm with a cone cutter. and the price , well it works for me so i recommend it
