Keep testing various cables and what proves the best secure fittings for these connections to work.
Keep the scart connection secure to maintain the signal and test with different gold-plated scarts. Test the 1" thick fully-shielded scart cables as well as the lightweight ribbon scart cables. Find out which cable lengths are better such as 1m or 2m or 3m or 5m lengths. Use an extra USB extension cable if necessary to keep the adaptor signal working for various devices like Freeview and Freesat receivers and recorders. Don't just buy a single adaptor. You get better results if buying a few extra ones and testing which of these works and which HDMI cables work better, too. Perhaps the HD TV has several HDMI inputs so test which of these works or doesn't work for your connections. Larger TV screens may produce less successful displays so really, really test the best cables you can and especially the gold-plated ones.If testing HDMI cables also try the right-angle connectors that help HDMI cables fit better. Test if HDMI splitters also work or help to extend the cable lengths a little more for you at home. Test what works in different rooms as well as some receivers can work better upstairs rather than downstairs. Retune your receivers every now and then to get the new channels sorted. Become more aware of the latest retuning updates on the Freeview and Freesat websites. Use manual tuning if that helps and the diagnostic TV test Signal statistics or percentages for each Freeview group or satellite frequency setting... The item itself will help with DVD Recorders and the old-style TVs without HDMI inputs. There are scart adaptors that can be used with different connectors being connected such as RGB colours or yellow video and red and white audio, so why not test if these create stable playbacks or superior audio video displays? Cheap tat for a cheap price
I can’t complain about buying low quality tat when it’s stated this device only supports CVBS (That’s RCA jacks) but even over scart the quality is poor, and I tested with several cables. I will warn that this is pretty useless if you plan to use it for something like a PC arcade station. It just doesn’t support low enough resolutions for clear text. Maybe if you like that old fuzzy look this could be a bonus, no beed for screen filters at least! Also something that did annoy me, that PAL/NTSC switch appears to do absolutely nothing at all! Also the device had to be restarted a few times to get a stable enough picture to see all of the screen the first time I used it, and even after a few reboots it still displays noticeable overscan or underscan at all resolutions I tried it at. Cheap tat, good for proof of concept and maybe downsampling high quality videos but can’t recommend it for serious projects. You get what you pay for and should learn hard lessons about ordering junk at 1 in the morning.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

HDMI to Scart perfect !!!!

Reverse car camera
Tried to wire via reverse lights for power but the monitor had problems due to voltage drop. So I wire directly to the car battery with an inline fuse and an on/off switch for power. I also chose to strip most of the casing off except for the monitor surrounding and sited the monitor on the pull down visor which allowed me to maintain the integrity of the dashboard so the monitor is only seen during use with a power switch discretely positioned. A little extra work but great value for money!

Worth the price, add a plug and would be full package
