Useful tool, may also take pliers
I had previously managed to remove our blender coupler with improvised tools, but this time, the fit was too tight, so I ordered the spanner. In fact, even with the spanner, I couldn't take it off by hand, but with a pair of pliers large enough to grip the rubber coupler, it was easy.

Perfect for removing and replacing damaged/work couplers
Makes removing worn or damaged couple very easy. Hold the spindle stationary using this spanner and twist the coupler ANTI-CLOCKWISE. The coupler is usually firmly screwed on by the action of the blender so you may have to use a gripper/wrench to loosen it but once loosened it unscrews in a trice.
