    Cheap, simple but effective.

    Professional watch repairers always use a wrench that engages with all six notches on the back of the watch to obtain maximum grip and reduce the risk of a slippage scratching the back. As these wrenches are not adjustable they require a number of different wrenches for common sizes of watch. Unfortunately my two radio controlled watches require a wrench that the repair men do not have in stock, so I have to send them to the importers to have the batteries changed for a fee of Β£30 plus postage. I was skeptical about the practicality of this adjustable watch cover remover, especially as the pins are much smaller than the notches on my watch cover. However, the covers were removed easily once the watch was mounted on inexpensive clamp held in a bench vice.

    Not so easy!

    I bought this watch case opener to change the battery in my Granddaughter's watch. I wasn't that easy and every member of the family tried to open every watch we had with this gadget to no avail. We had fun trying anyway, but had to resort to buying a watch case opener knife which did the job in seconds

    Seems Substancial

    Appears to be good quality made of metal, certainly quite heavy for its size. I found it a bit fiddly trying to size the device to the watch, in order to remove the back, but in fairness it did the job. Im sure would have been easier with a proper vice/clamp to hold the watch in, which I don’t have.
