    Great tool post

    I use the toolpost on my SC3 lathe. It is too tall for my C1 lathe. This is the second quick change tool post I have. The other is good but can only hold the tool in one position as it only has a dovetail on one side. This toolpost has two dovetails so tool holders can be mounted on the front for outside cuts or the side for boring and inside cuts. The clamp is a cam and it is very fast to change tools. It comes with two standard tool holders, a holder for boring bars and a narrow holder for cutoff blades which I use with an old piece of hacksaw blade. The dovetail is a little sloppy in fit and there is a lack of consistency between the same tool holders. It is made of a light alloy and is not as rigid as I would like.
