I was probably expecting too much comfort from someone in their late 50's not a regular camping and a bit stiff in the hips department, as it wasn't exactly fantastically comfortable but then again it was better than an ordinary roll mat, although at £40 or so it seemed a bit overpriced. If I were a regular camper I'd splash out on a thicker one. I was surprised at its size too....quite large! As I was cycle camping the only way I could attach it was to bungee it crossways across the panniers which worked fine. It'd be super if it was high viz coloured or reflective...you'd be seen a mile off ! It was very easy to concertina fold, and I can see it does have great advantages in being versatile enough to serve as a seat with a back to it leaning against a wall for example.
